Chopstick Dubplate

    Chopstick Dubplate is an artist collective established in 1998, when Jacky Murda brought and rebuilt a scully-westrex cutting suite from Miami, Florida, USA and set up in Montreal, Canada. The first chop voicings were cut in 1998. In 2001 Chopstick moved back to the US in Crown Heights, Brooklyn to establish its label. Distribution is done by Nu Urban Music.

    The collective is currently comprised of three producer-djs: Jacky Murda, Aries, and Tuffist, founded by Jacky Murda in 1998, and currently operating out of Barcelona, Spain, the UK, and Jamaica.

    Former members: RCola (DJ/Producer 2002-2005, contributed production on CHOP1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 21 Murda Shots), LionDub (DJ 2003-2005), and Corey K (DJ 1998-2001).
